Initiatives

E-inclusion movement
To promote the use of new technologies to fight poverty and inequalities, to overcome technological barriers that prevent to many people, especially in developing countries, to realize their own initiatives... that is the main aim of e-inclusion movement.

Through the clicking mechanism that is active on the web site www.e-inclusionsite.org it is possible to finance the Global Junior Challenge's finalist projects coming from poor areas of the world.

Adopt a school

In occasion of the third edition of the Global Junior Challenge, the Digital Youth Consortium promotes the project "Adopt a school 2004", a twinning between 5 Roman schools and 5 schools from poor areas of the world, having as theme "the Peace in the world".
Main twinning purpose is the achievement of solidarity projects between schools, making easier the participation of students and teachers from poor areas of the world to Roma's event organized for the Global Junior Challenge 2004 award ceremony. "Adopt a School" is an opportunity for the schools from information-rich areas of the world who wish to support directly the efforts of information-poor schools to overcome the digital divide.
