Krishna V.Sane

Krishna V.Sane, Ph.D. (Princeton), was Reader/Professor at the University of Delhi (1966-95) and UNESCO-Nehru Professor for Science Capacity Building in Bangalore (1996-98). Krishna's primary interest has been to utilize the emerging technologies for improving the teaching/learning process with special emphasis on empowerment of needy women - a project initiated by his late wife, Dr. Kamalni Sane.

   

Prof. Sane has directed the Project Cost-effective Science Education (1981-97) for UNESCO and Project SITA(1999-2001) for infoDev(World Bank). Inspired by the Stockholm Challenge Award and the Global Junior Challenge Award ---- where SITA was a finalist/winner --- Krishna is currently organizing an ICT-based MitraMandal Challenge Award Competition in India.
