WAYNE
STRONG
Wayne is the principal of Strong
Consulting Group, a strategy development consultancy with specialist
knowledge, experience and skills in improving business performance
through the application of a range of ICT solutions. He is currently a
juror for the Stockholm Challenge - a global initiative for pioneering
IT projects in the spirit of a shared vision of building the future
together. He has also a member of the jury panel for the inaugural
Global Junior Challenge, held in Rome in December 2000. As a member of
the core jury for the past three years, Wayne has been part of a panel
of international experts who have assessed in excess of 1500 community
based ICT projects.
He has 25 years experience in marketing,
human resources and general management roles in the pharmaceutical,
information technology, education, rural and regional development, and
also lectures in strategic marketing in Australia and South East Asia
(Singapore, Hong Kong and China) for LaTrobe University.
In the early 90’s Wayne established
Strong Consulting Group whose primary purpose at the time was to deliver
a broad range of specialist management consulting services to Regional
Victoria. The consultancy services offered by the Group have grown since
that time to include - improving access to ICT for communities at the
same time supporting and empowering those communities. Building online
communities, quality internet application services, multi media
development, web design, information systems design, technical support
solutions and ICT training. Strong Consulting Group operates with a core
group of consultants with complimentary experience, knowledge and skills
and a number of mission critical alliances in our target markets. The
Groups strategy development, consulting activities and networks now
extended throughout Australia, Europe and South East.
Wayne has extensive experience in both
the public and private sectors of small to medium size enterprises, at
all levels of government, education, finance, food, health care, retail
and regional development organisations.
Wayne sits on the Board of two private
organisations and a leading Sports Club in Ballarat is the current
Chairman of the Victorian Masters Games, and is a mentor to the Aspiring
Young Managers Program conducted by the Australian Institute of
Management. |
