CELIA EINHORN

International Educational Technology Consultant

  • Coordinate the New Mexico High School Supercomputing Challenge. http://www.challenge.nm.org

  • Conceptualize the professional online learning community NMLearns http://nmlearns.org

  • Help create professional learning community on the NMSU RETA Virtual Learning Community http://reta.nmsu.vrc.html

  • Lead the early childhood and New Mexico Chapters of the 21st Century Teacher network http://www.21ct.org

  • Facilitate the Southwest Online Internet Institute, supporting face to face and online collaboration.  http://oii.org       

  • Teach classes and workshops on the integration of technology and literacy as an adjunct professor and facilitator at the Webster University, University of New Mexico, Lesley College, College of Santa Fe, and Intel, Los Alamos National Laboratories, Scholastic, Microsoft's Computer Expo, New Mexico State Department of Education and various schools.

  • Facilitate as an affiliate with Synergy Group, Ltd., an organizational development organization working with change.

  • Participate in the support group, Albuquerque Web Women.

  • Advise software and hardware purchases for schools.

  • Coordinate technology conferences, institutes, and family programs.

  • Moderate state Tech Forum listserv, I*EARN US Center Newsgroup, Milken Authentic Assessment listserv, MIT's Jr. Summit and the Well Connected Educator website.

  • Present telecommunications workshops locally, regionally, nationally and internationally at educational technology conferences.

  • Train teachers in telecommunications for I*EARN (International Education and Resource Network) and the World Bank.

  • Consulted with BBN (Bolt, Beranek and Newman) on technology integration into their Co-NECT schools.

  • Acted as program manager for New Mexico State Department of Education grant on Literacy and Technology.

  • Acted as "ringmistress" of ISTE's  (International Society of Technology Educators) Tel-Ed 94.
