What is JOB LINKER? The JOB LINKER project has been active since May 2000. The service was launched following a strategic partnership between the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and the “Youth Section” of the Italian Industrialist’s Union to establish a continuous and systematic network between the training and education sector and Roman businesses.

JOB LINKER has two major aims: to offer the 10.000 students that have graduated from the university over the last five years a useful instrument to enter the job market on the one hand and to offer companies an easily accessible database containing qualified and diverse professional profiles.

The role of the University is to collect and re-direct the student CVs to the 1200 companies involved in the project, whilst the “Youth Section” of the Italian Industrialist’s Union is responsible for co-ordinating activities on their side.

JOB LINKER is the first Italian university service to offer businesses the possibility to recruit directly online in a transparent and objective way. The Human Resources of different companies can recruit directly through the web site with the click of a mouse.

FIND A JOB WITH THE INTERNET LABORATORY

During the Global Junior Challenge Exhibition, JOB LINKER will open this service to all students wishing to experiment this innovative service. Moreover, representatives from the University of “Tor Vergata” and from the Italian Industrialist’s Union will be available to help students with tips on how to write a résumé, how to look for a job using the Internet and what companies are looking for when they recruit.
