The school of the future and the computer age

In the future in about 10 years all schoolchildren will get a small minicomputer which is 10 x 10 cm large. The children will be able to choose between studying at home or at school with their friends . The computer shall contain all books and all exercises and you shall also be able to ask the computer if you need help. The computer shall make sure that tests are made regularly. The tests shall automatically be send to a group of supervisors who are the only grown-ups except a few help-teachers in the schools for those who need extra help.

The School of the Future and the Computer Age

It's Monday morning, everyone is tired after the weekend. Everyone take out their portable computer and start to work. Somebody need help, somebody don't need help. The subjects are maths, swedish, english, geography, technology and some games. The classroom look like a computer-room.

The School of the Future and the Computer Age

It's nine o'clock in the morning. I and my classmates went into the classroom which look like a computer-room. I take out my computer and look at my timetable, it's english. I read and write, translate and prepare new words. My teacher goes around helping and instruct the pupils. The schoolenvironment is very clean and we can buy our lunch in a café. About half past two it's time to go home. We also have lessons like today, without working on a computer.

The School of the Future and the Computer Age I hope that within ten years everybody have their own portable computer, but I don't think my dream will come true. I think it will be the same as now but everyone will use Computers and internet much more. I hope that you will be able to go home and eat your lunch instead of have it in school. That will be a dreamschool for me.

The Shcool of the Future and the Computer Age

In the future I want that every child shall have a small computer with which they can work and where everything you shall work with is programmed. I think that the computercompanys shall invent easy programmes. I also want that you shall be able to work via Internet and that your teacher shall have a secret code for the computer so that the children can't do wrong things by Internet. I think school will be more fun then.

The School of the Future and the Computer Age.

I go to school at 7.45 with my portable computer. I go to the classroom. It's a big roomwith six large round tables and to each table you have six chairs.
There is no teacher.
Instead you hera a voice in your computer who tells you what to do and also know what to manage to do.
There are only two grown-ups in school, the headmaster and school nurse.
You bring your own food or go home for lunch.
