The School of Tomorrow and the Computer Age

The people that were born in the middle to late eights are going to get through some incredible changes. We are going to use digital boards instead of the classic blackboard. We are going to use computers instead of regular notebooks. Not to mention the Internet that will allow the students to chat using the computer instead of small notes. These changes excite me and at the same time frighten me. That’s because as well as the new technology can make our life easier, it can take the human part of the learning process away. A teacher do not only teaches the subject program. All their life experience is valuable as examples for the students. I used to hate geometry. And now, thanks to a teacher who loved it, I could feel the same and learn how to like it. What if the school of tomorrow decides to use robots instead of human teachers? That is what I do fear and hope never happens.
